The SATO CL4-SXR and CL6-SXR combine a robust design with high print speeds and ease of use. Both models support direct thermal and thermal transfer printing for a wide range of labelling tasks in warehousing, logistics and production. The CL4-SXR offers a print width of up to 104 mm, whilst the CL6-SXR prints up to 167.5 mm wide.
The printers are operated via a 4.3-inch colour display with a resistive touchscreen – which can even be used whilst wearing gloves. A print preview helps you check labels before printing. Customisable screen views, instructional videos and step-by-step guidance make day-to-day work and troubleshooting easier. The built-in speaker can play audio and voice prompts.
A newly developed print mechanism, additional sensors and a high-precision print mode ensure stable media feed and accurate print results. Depending on the model, the CL4-SXR achieves speeds of up to 457.2 mm/s, whilst the CL6-SXR reaches up to 355.6 mm/s. The print head’s automatic temperature compensation ensures a consistent print quality even at low ambient temperatures. In addition, the CL-SXR series features a system for predicting print head failures. Maintenance has also been designed for maximum ease of use: wear parts such as the print head and print roller can be replaced without tools.
The die-cast aluminium housing is designed for continuous use in demanding working environments. Recycled materials are also used in the plastic components.
USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, RS-232C and an external I/O interface facilitate integration into existing IT and production environments. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are available as options. With SATO AEP, applications can be run directly on the printer and labelling processes controlled without a PC. The CL-SXR series can also utilise data from print logs, sensors and cloud-based systems to create labels with customised information for traceability.
Thanks to a wide range of expansion options, the printers can be adapted to different applications. RFID, cutting, dispensing and rewinding solutions make the CL-SXR series a flexibly configurable platform for industrial labelling processes – from traditional dispatch labels to automated marking and identification solutions.
