Datalogic Joya Smart and Joya Smart+ are a new generation of self-scanning computers that significantly simplify the shopping process: from digital shopping lists and personalised vouchers to fast payment – all in a single device.

The 5-inch HD display provides a clear and concise overview of all information and controls. The fast processor enables lag-free input and smooth display of all content, ensuring that the entire user experience remains appealing at all times. Thanks to Wi-Fi 6E, the device remains stably connected to the store system even in high-traffic areas. The integrated indoor localisation also supports targeted customer guidance through the sales area and facilitates navigation in the store.

The powerful scan engine of the Datalogic Joya Smart ensures fast capture of all common 1D and 2D codes – even damaged or poorly printed barcodes are reliably recognised. The optical green spot feedback makes operation easier, especially for inexperienced users. A key highlight is the ShopGuard function: the camera integrated on the back monitors the entire shopping trolley. The AI recognises missing or unregistered items and supports employees with spot checks. This reduces unintentional mis-scans, speeds up the re-scan process and ensures a smooth, trustworthy shopping experience.

For modern checkout concepts, the device offers NFC Tap-to-Go: customers can simply activate the device with their customer card and pay directly at the device at the end of their shopping trip. This reduces queues and creates an intuitive, fluid self-shopping experience.
The robust design proves its worth in daily use. IP54 protection, a chemical-resistant surface for thorough disinfection and high drop and fall resistance ensure a long service life. Wireless charging makes the devices virtually maintenance-free and ensures maximum availability during operation.
