Self-shopping computer

With the Honeywell CS32 self-shopping computer, customers can scan their items directly while shopping, keep an eye on their shopping basket and complete the payment process themselves. This significantly reduces queues at the checkout and noticeably reduces the workload for staff.

The slim device, which is only 13.9 mm thick and weighs around 360 grams, fits comfortably in the hand even during longer shopping trips. The 6-inch Full HD display with robust Corning Gorilla Glass 5 shows prices, promotions and product details clearly and legibly, even in bright store lighting thanks to its 450 nits brightness. The N670X scanner, installed at a 30° angle, captures barcodes quickly and intuitively from different angles. NFC can be used to process both customer cards and contactless payments – an important component for a smooth, fully digital checkout process.

Inside, a Qualcomm 4490 processor works in combination with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. This ensures that scanning, payment and loyalty applications run smoothly, even when multiple processes are active at the same time. The Honeywell CS32 comes with Android 14 and is upgradeable to Android 16 and Android 18 – a clear advantage for IT departments that rely on long-term security and software updates. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 with BLE ensure a reliable and fast connection to the store network and peripheral devices. Additional sensors – including an accelerometer, gyroscope, eCompass and light sensor – enable features such as indoor navigation, automatic display orientation and targeted promotional displays.

The Honeywell CS32 is designed for the rigours of everyday store life: drop-proof up to 1.2 metres, with IP30 protection and reliable operation at temperatures from –20 °C to +50 °C. The self-shopping computer has a runtime of over 20 hours, easily covering long opening hours.
