The Advantech-Aures Komet is a modular self-service kiosk that significantly speeds up service processes in retail, catering and service environments. With its slim, elegant design, it blends inconspicuously into existing sales areas – either as a single-sided kiosk, a double-sided solution for high visitor traffic or a space-saving wall-mounted solution. Thanks to its small footprint, more terminals can be installed in the same space, reducing queues and increasing perceived service quality.
At its heart is a 27-inch touch display in portrait format with Full HD resolution. The robust multi-touch surface responds precisely to touch and enables comfortable operation – from selecting dishes in a restaurant to booking tickets or services. The modern hardware platform ensures that user interfaces run smoothly and content loads quickly.
Komet is designed as a complete system: an integrated thermal printer reliably produces receipts directly at the terminal. A 1D/2D imager reads barcodes from smartphones, vouchers or products – ideal for loyalty programmes, e-tickets or click & collect. The flexible adapter plate allows common payment terminals from various manufacturers to be seamlessly integrated, enabling card and contactless payments directly at the kiosk.
Maintenance and monitoring are particularly easy: an LED status light on the top shows at a glance whether the terminal needs assistance – for example, if the printer is out of paper or there are malfunctions. The exclusive, USB-controlled multi-voltage power supply enables remote monitoring and central management of various functions. Current operating systems such as Windows 11, Linux and Android are supported, allowing the kiosk to be optimally integrated into existing IT and POS environments.
