Big stage for RealWear Navigator at the Burgtheater
The Burgtheater, renowned for its artistic innovation, has recently introduced ground-breaking technology in its new production of "Nosferatu". The visually stunning reinterpretation of Bram Stoker's classic novel "Dracula" and the iconic film adaptation "Nosferatu" uses the RealWear Navigator 500 to take the theater experience to a whole new level.
The RealWear Navigator 500, originally designed for industrial applications, demonstrates its versatility and adaptability by crossing the boundaries between industry and art, enabling a fascinating new form of storytelling. By integrating the device into the performance, the audience is drawn directly into the world and perspective of the protagonists: The actors and actresses wear the RealWear devices during the performance, which capture images from their point of view and project them live onto a large LED screen in the background.
This innovative application of the RealWear Navigator 500 gives the audience a completely new perspective on the action. The audience not only experiences the action from the traditional distance, but also becomes part of the inner world of the characters. Images from the device's thermal camera are also used: the color display of the surface temperature makes it possible to visualize strong emotions in a completely new way. Every gesture, every look and every feeling is captured and magnified in real time, creating a more intense and intimate connection between actors and audience.
